Do It Proper - Coming Soon!
The debut release from Do It Proper see’s Boston label Headtunes Recordings slow things down and go a little analog on their latest release. ‘The Ride’ is a blissful, stripped back house track with a classic, raw and captivating sound. It is complemented by two remixes from Chicago house maestro and Vizual Records boss Joshua Iz who picks up the pace for the dancefloor, and another from the inimitable, long-time Headtunes collaborator, Sleazy McQueen who adds some trademark cosmic-disco flair.

Dirtyworx - Sthlm EP out now!
Dirtyworx’ ‘Sthlm EP’ sees Headtunes combine their roots in deep and tech house with more recent leanings towards a funkier and bumping sound. Two original tracks are complemented by remixes from the UK’s Rob Clarke and Brazilian beat-master Jota Wagner.
Dirtyworx is a trio of Swedish producers/DJs - Reza Assareh , Fredrick Jansson and Sam Mehraban. They have had a slew of high quality productions on such labels as Tenor Records, Celestial Recordings, Rebeat and Sunhouse Records, with support from respected names including Laurent Garnier, Luciano, Brian Tappert, Dave Seaman, Presslaboys, Danny Tenaglia, Marc Jay, Tim Baker and many more. Both ‘Mustache’ and ‘Una Cola’ are late night heads-down groovers treading the border where deep house meets that of a techier persuasion, with well crafted percussion adding the necessary energy.

Feedback:
Quentin Harris (Strictly Rhythm) – Feeling the Rob Clarke & Jota Wagner remixes. I like the unusual arrangement. Fresh!
Paul Corey (Resident Advisor) - Really like the signature riff of 'Una Cola.' Good package with each mix offering something a little bit different.
Russel Deeks (iDJ) - Lovely Deep vibes.
Gee Moore (Bora Bora) – Finally found a Cola that’s good for me! Got me on first listen.
Aldrin (Zouk) - Feeling Rob's Bumpy ride!
Peckos (Lost My Dog) - Una Cola par mi! Nice one, will play 'Una Cola' a lot. Also digging Jota Wagner's remix.
Murray Richardson (Rebel Waltz) – Nice original trax on this and Jota Wagner rework hits the spot too!
Al Bradley (3AM Recordings) - 'Mustache' has a wicked rolling groove, quality dancefloor motion. Of the 'Una Cola' cuts, the original is a great percussive bass-heavy jam, with ace sonics to boot. Rob's mix is wicked, retaining the key riff & spicing things up with some swing beats & bleepy FX. Lastly Jota really twists the groove & adds some of his trademark deepness, wicked stuff! A top EP.
DJ Onionz (Electrik Soul) - Nice release!
Mieka Du Franx (Felinephonix Music) - Una Cola original is absolutely prime pro top notch delightfully dosed! What a fantastic track, such a proper journey-esq track, so much soul went into this baby, the details are gorgeous. I love all the changes and the old school sample slightly switched up hitting in between all those magical rhythm and melody grooves!!
Marko Miltano - Jota mix is quite sexy! I dig.
Michael Stukes (WHCR 90.3 FM) - STRICTLY for tha headsssssss!
DJ Linus (Exun) - Cool Stuff!
Chris Udoh - Feeling it guys!
Arturo Garces (Jump Recordings) - Very nice!
Danny Stott (Roland Knights) - Very nice EP, deep and moody….Diggin all of these but particularly liking Rob Clarke’s bump mix.
Wesley S (Toolroom Radio) - Super Cool Deep House!
Martijan (Deep Edition) - Dark & Techy....really good!
Bobi (Club FM) - Definetly loving the vibe on the Una Cola (original) & Rob Clarke bump mix. Will support!
Also support from: Kelvin K, Ingo Haan, Marcelo Medeirous, Almaz, Lorenzo, DJ Gabriel, Lucas Hulan, Dibby Dougherty, Amit Shoham, Ray Colclough, Jason Pepperell, Lomas, Advokkat, Louis Hughes, Brothers Vibe, Darran Nugent aka ARUBA, Steve Arnell, SoulRay, Bogdan Taran, and DJ Nova.
